Digital Level
The Untangled Labs Digital Level is a precision inclinometer that uses your device's built-in accelerometer to measure tilt angle in real time to ±0.01° resolution. It is useful for leveling equipment, checking slope angles, aligning antennas or solar panels, surveying terrain, and any task where a physical bubble level would traditionally be used. Features include an animated SVG bubble level tube that moves smoothly as the device tilts, a numeric angle readout updated multiple times per second, a zero-calibration button to set any surface as the reference plane, a target angle lock that saves a specific tilt value for repeated measurements against the same reference, and optional audio beeps that change frequency as the bubble approaches center for hands-free leveling in the field. The tool automatically detects portrait and landscape orientation and adjusts the axis it measures accordingly. It works on Android phones and tablets, iPhones, and iPads in any modern browser that supports the DeviceMotion API. Sensor permissions must be granted when prompted. No GPS or internet connection is required once the page loads. Free GIS tool, no account required.
